Howard is immensely hands on, always supporting his colleagues to achieve the best outcome for every project by delivering technical excellence, professionalism and drawing upon the combined expertise of the team.
As a Naval Architect and Marine Engineer, Howard has worked both at shipyards and as an Owner’s Representative, which means that he has a thorough understanding of the new construction and refit process from both perspectives. He has over 20 years’ experience of representing Owners at many respected shipyards.
A broad portfolio includes special surveys, managing complex refits, budget and quality control and new construction projects. Howard has worked with some of the world’s top designers making teamwork central to collaborating with Captains, brokers, managers, lawyers, insurers and reporting to Owners.
Adrian Tinkler

TECHNICAL MANAGER
Adrian utilises his wide-ranging experience working in senior technical roles in the yacht industry. This enables him to provide comprehensive technical assistance across a wide variety of projects including refits and new builds. He is able to problem solve and aid in decision making and take a holistic view on wide variety of technical matters.
Previous to joining Mayfair Marine, Adrian worked for 16 years in senior technical and operational management roles for large management companies. During this time he led a diverse and technically challenging range of refit and new build projects.
In the preceding years he worked onboard several large superyachts ranging from 60 to 92 metres as an Engineer and progressed to Chief Engineer over the span of 11 years. His work covered an assortment of operations, refit and new build scenarios.
Adrian’s career began with a 4 year apprenticeship in the Royal Navy, followed by further specialist military and engineering training, culminating in 3 years’ active service onboard nuclear submarines, progressing to Petty Officer. He then broadened his experience in shore side industries, as part of a multinational team commissioning a nuclear power station control system; bespoke industrial applications and electrical power engineering solutions, before starting his yacht career.
IVO VELDHUIS

DESIGN MANAGER
Ivo uses his vast knowledge of the marine industry to offer on point advice to technically complex and challenging projects. He brings a wealth of technical and regulatory knowledge, combined with over 2 decades of project experience to Mayfair Marine.
Ivo has garnered substantial engineering and commercial project management experience in the last 25 years in the shipping, large yacht & ship building and renewable energy sectors. He has worked for both owners and shipyards, which means he truly understands the different perspectives in this industry.
Working in a variety of roles from owner’s representative through to yacht design manager, Ivo’s project management and design experience has encompassed the technology of alternative fuels (LNG, methanol, hydrogen, etc.), electric propulsion, batteries and fuel cells.
Ivo also has a well-established academic background, which includes his attainment of a PhD in Engineering from the University of Southampton and an MBA. He has also published several academic papers concerning renewable energy and alternative fuels for ships and is still actively involved in reviewing European research projects in the alternative energy sector.
Ivo is fluent in Dutch and English with conversational Turkish.
Madeline Craig

In her role as Management Co-ordinator, Madeline leads the administration and organisational side with full responsibility for the non-technical side of the company.
Madeline brings highly structured project management and leadership experience to large projects, organising time and work flow with efficiency and calm.
Madeline has over a decade of management experience in a major national business. She has also been the director of her own company while simultaneously helping to set up a selection of new start-up ventures using her business development skills.
William Daser

PROJECT MANAGER
William draws upon his extensive background of project managing refits and new builds for yachts from 24 to 100 metres plus. As a naval architect with many cross discipline abilities including: design, technical calculation, CAD and 3D modelling he is able to help develop projects and concepts.
William previously worked with a prestigious marine consultancy undertaking a variety of tasks from working on regulatory aspects of small ferries, cruise liners and superyachts, to design work on commercial and leisure craft. William was also the lead technical representative on a new build 95 metre superyacht during this time.
Prior experience included working for world renowned designers and architects with a focus on 3D design. Early years were spent in the design office at the Camper & Nicholson’s yachts shipyard in Gosport working on several new build large sailing yachts and refits, and with a firm designing customised superyacht tenders.
Falk Seidel

OUTFITTING MANAGER
Dedicated to interior and exterior design coordination, Falk brings a wealth of experience, a scrupulous eye for detail and an unwavering commitment to quality. Falk was recently part of an owner’s team for a 100 metre plus explorer yacht new build. He provided specialist interior consultancy for selection and subsequent management of interior outfitting contractors, management of interior and lighting designers and liaising with shipyard interior team.
Prior to joining Mayfair Marine, Falk worked for one of the leading German interior outfitting contractors. He has worked on a number of large yacht projects with a particular focus on refit and through life support, client liaison and warranty. Specialising in very high-end residential and superyacht projects, he has substantial interior experience obtained through multiple long running projects in owner and guest areas onboard multiple yachts in the 70 to 140 metre range including yachts up to 36 passengers.
Falk initially trained as a cabinet maker, completing an apprenticeship and gaining a Diploma in wood technology. He has worked internationally with a background in development, construction engineering and site supervision since 2004 with projects in the USA, Canada and New Zealand.
Fluent in English and German with conversational Italian.
David Richmond

PROJECT MANAGER
David brings a wealth of knowledge from working as a Project Manager/Owner Representative for over 20 years on new build yachts and those undertaking complex refits. His involvement has been from concept to completion and all aspects in between.
When he came ashore as a Chief Engineer in the Merchant Navy some 25 years ago, he initially worked for a London law firm, later moving to a firm of marine consultants that provided expert services. In this role he worked on assisting sales and purchases that involved new build construction contracts or existing yachts. He then moved into the Project Manager/Owner Representative role for these bespoke vessels liaising with all involved parties. It frequently starts with the negotiation of a contract and ends with the ‘signing off’ of tests and sea trials leading to final delivery of the project.

Liz is a Naval Architect with a uniquely broad range of experience across yacht design, engineering, production, and project management. She began her career in academia before transferring her skills to the design of ocean racing yachts and custom performance blue water cruisers, working at the forefront of innovation on projects spanning concept development, performance prediction, build support, and logistics.
Enjoying hands on involvement and close collaboration with shipyards, Liz moved into the engineering and production side for semi custom yacht builders, strengthening her technical expertise and practical understanding of high performance yachts.
